Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Introduction
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is required by many modern diesel engine applications using Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology to reduce the levels of oxides of nitrogen emitted by an exhaust system.
Diesel Exhaust Treatment liquid (for:, automotive environmental urea), SCR technology must be used in consumables. Diesel Exhaust Fluid (AUS32) is classified as non-dangerous. AdBlue is a transparent liquid with a faint ammonia odor.

Vehicle selective catalytic reduction exhaust aftertreatment (SCR) is a technology that reacts with ammonia and automobile exhaust gas produced by urea reaction, and is a comprehensive emission control system certified to meet European â…£ regulations. SCR is a technology to control NOx in diesel engine exhaust.
The Diesel Exhaust Fluid is stored in a urea tank mounted on the chassis. The urea tank supplies the solution to the dosing unit (DU) installed on the chassis. DU is controlled by the engine control module (ECM). DU uses compressed air from the vehicle system to produce adblue sprays, which are transported to the nozzles in the engine exhaust system through very precise metering and pumping systems.
The number of adblue injected into the exhaust is controlled by the ECM and can be matched to the NOx output of the engine at any speed and load condition.
When exposed to high-temperature exhaust, water evaporates rapidly and urea becomes ammonia. Ammonia and NOx in the catalytic converter through high temperature oxidation and reduction reaction to generate nitrogen and water, the system can effectively reduce the amount of nitrogen and oxygen compounds in automobile exhaust gas, reduce the air pollution caused by NOx.
